At the May 22nd meeting of the Linn County American Legion in Mount Vernon the Ely American Legion Post was recognized for achievements in 2018 membership.  The Ely Post was awarded the Honor Ribbon for attaining 100% membership and they were awarded the Road Runner Post Award for achieving 109% of their membership goal for 2018.  In the photo below Post Commander Marv Peters is presented the awards from 2nd District Commander Dick Hogan.
