June 14th 2015, 6:00 P.M. at City Park
1635 Hillside Street, Ely, Iowa

Flag Drop-off
1 hour prior to the ceremony at the park OR June 13th 2015 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ely American Legion Building located at
1545 Main Street, Ely, Iowa

World War II on the Homefront

During World War II so many young men served in the armed forces, there was a labor shortage in the United States. In order to upgrade the railroad through Ely, Mexican workers were employed.
