The final bags event for the season is on 7 March at the Legion Hall. It has been a great season of competition and to date we still have not had a returning champion win a second time. Stop out and take your chance at being the season’s final winner!!

Again this month we will be collecting items for the Linn County Veteran’s Affairs Food Bank. When I dropped off the items collected last month they said they could really use canned meat items like salmon, chicken, and spam.

Mark your calendars for the annual Ely American Legion Breakfast on the 12th of April. Tickets are now available and will be mailed out to members. We will need volunteers on Saturday the 11th to help with preparation and we will need help on the 12th to help with the breakfast. This is without a doubt the largest fundraiser of the year for our legion so please consider volunteering to help. You can either contact Bob Jacobson (848-7221) or myself (389-3698) to volunteer or get more details.
